I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the Goethe University Frankfurt, and a civil servant at the National Treasury of Brazil where I work with fiscal policy, focused on design, implementation, and supervision of fiscal rules, mainly on subnational public debt. My current research interests are the motives and consequences of subnational public debt, especially trying to understand why governments guarantee, subsidize and bailout subnational public debt. I have been also using regional/subnational data to research the effect on inflation of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
